How to have self confidence

First of all I'm going to talk about what self confidence is...So lets just say your standing in a room full of people and you feel fine, but then suddenly this really attractive girl or boy walks in and suddenly your self confidence drops. You can't really be yourself, your comparing yourself to them, you feel not good enough... kinda like you don't fit in....

It's a horrible feeling. When your out with your friends or on a date you always want to feel the best you can! When your feel in confident... everyone can tell! What a lot of people do to hide the fact that they're in confident is they try and not stand out. They dress in darker more boring clothes, often quite baggy-ish clothing. Well this is the worst thing you can do! In order to feel and look confident is flaunting yourself! Try and feel like you're the best in the room... but DON'T come across as cocky. Being confident is one thing, and being cocky is another.

1. Change what you wear

When you think about it... if you have a really bad hair day in the morning, or your makeup just isn't right.. for the rest of the day you feel terrible. You just don't want to go out. Well you might not notice it but clothing can do the same thing. The better you dress the better you feel!

Instead of hiding yourself under baggy boring clothes, try and pick something that stands out and compliments your best features. If you aren't the type of person to wear nice things and cannot find anything in the wardrobe that looks good, go to a designer shop. Yes, they may not be the cheapest alternative but it really pays off. If you just throw a few things together from target people will notice that you haven't really put in much effort. It pays off to save up a few dollars and shop and a designer shop. They have great assistance which could come to your advantage. If you don't have any clue at all on what to buy, just ask one of the shop assistances. They will show you what will go best together and what will work best on your body.

This will make the biggest difference in how you feel!

2.  Good posture
If you look at someone slumped over in a corner looking down at their toes with their shoulders dropped your first impression is shy... in confident and.... boring!
If you want to feel confident and you want people to notice that's how you feel then work on your posture. Concentrate of looking up instead of down. Keep your eyes and chin up, look at other people's eyes. Make sure you keep your shoulders back. If you look at super models on runways they're looking straight up and straight away, they're shoulders are pulled back and they're back is straight. Try and always have a good posture, and eventually if will become habit and you won't even notice.

3. Wear makeup
Now i'm not saying go out and buy all this makeup and cake it on so your face is 3 inches thick of foundation, but just wear a little bit of powder maybe to cover any redness or pimples and come blush to create a young youthful look, and some mascara on your lashes to make your eyes just pop more. This will make you feel a whole lot better about yourself.

4. Shape up!
If you're feeling a lack of confidence because you are unhappy with your weight or figure then start by cutting all the junky foods from your diet! It really is so easy. Instead of buying packeted snacks from the super market buy a heap of fruits and vegetables, pastas and meats. Yoghurts are great! And from the canteen instead of buying hot chips of a pie, order a salad roll, or make your own lunch. Eat heaps of salads!

Secondly, start exercising! No matter how healthy you eat, if you aren't exercising to burn up all that energy, that healthy food is going to just to into fat.
Here are some things you could do...
  • Buy a treadmill and place it in the lounge room so you can jog while watching TV
  •  Join a gym and go 3 times a week
  • Walk or ride home from work or school
  • When you wake up in the morning, go for a jog around the block
  • Buy a Wii fit plus! I cannot describe how great they are! They're super fun, and they work really really well!
  • Join a sport such as.. net ball, basket ball, swimming, football, tennis or soccer. This way you are having fun with friends but also exercising!
